Revealed after the Conquest of Makkah, when the long struggle had turned to victory and people were entering Islam in great numbers.
The Companions rejoiced at the triumph — but 'Umar and Ibn 'Abbās understood a deeper sign in it: the Prophet's ﷺ mission was complete, and his time was drawing near.
It was, in effect, a gentle announcement of farewell wrapped in the good news of victory.
மக்கா வெற்றிக்குப் பின்னர் இது இறக்கியருளப்பட்டது; நீண்ட கால போராட்டம் வெற்றியாக மாறி, மக்கள் கூட்டம் கூட்டமாக இஸ்லாத்தில் நுழைந்து கொண்டிருந்த வேளையில்.
இந்த வெற்றியில் நபித்தோழர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தனர் — ஆனால் உமர் மற்றும் இப்னு அப்பாஸ் அதில் ஆழமான ஒரு அறிகுறியைப் புரிந்துகொண்டனர்: நபி(ﷺ) அவர்களின் பணி நிறைவடைந்துவிட்டது, அவர்களின் காலமும் நெருங்கிவிட்டது என்பதை.
உண்மையில் இது வெற்றியின் நற்செய்தியில் மூடிவைக்கப்பட்ட, மென்மையான ஒரு விடைபெறுதல் அறிவிப்பாக இருந்தது.
“When the help of Allah has come, and the victory” — success is attributed to Allah's help, not to human strength alone.
“…and you see people entering the religion of Allah in crowds” — the fruit of years of patience.
“Then glorify your Lord's praise and seek His forgiveness” — at the peak of triumph, the response is humility, praise, and istighfār — not pride.
“அல்லாஹ்வின் உதவியும் வெற்றியும் வந்துவிட்டால்” — வெற்றி என்பது மனித பலத்தால் மட்டுமல்ல, அல்லாஹ்வின் உதவியாலேயே கிடைத்தது என்று அது கூறுகிறது.
“…மக்கள் கூட்டம் கூட்டமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் மார்க்கத்தில் நுழைவதை நீர் கண்டால்” — பல ஆண்டுகால பொறுமையின் பலன் இதுவே.
“அப்போது உம் இறைவனைப் புகழ்ந்து துதி செய்து, அவனிடம் மன்னிப்புக் கோருவீராக” — வெற்றியின் உச்சத்தில் தேவையான பதில் ஆணவம் அல்ல; பணிவும், புகழ்தலும், இஸ்திஃக்பாருமே.
